From September to May we squirrel ourselves away in Samarés School every Wednesday evening from 8pm to 9.30pm in order to hone our skills. New members (both of the dancer and musician variety) are not only extremely welcome but also frequently tied up so they can never leave again (those ribbon dances are a bit tricky).
We welcome everybody, all you need is a reasonable sense of rhythm and to be free on Wednesday evenings, as that is when we
practise in the winter and perform in public in the summer.
As well as our regular dance slots, which we often round off with a drink or a meal, we have exchange visits with other teams and will perform at special events if we have a team available. We also grace the lucky men of Helier Morris with our presence twice a year, on May Day when we dance in each of the 12 parishes of the island from 6am to 6pm (yes we are slightly insane) and at the end of the performance season in September.
